What to Eat Before Practice?
Fuel is very important for runners, they NEED to eat, but please don't have your athlete eat a heavy dinner before coming to practice. If you prefer your athlete has a meal prior to practice try to have them eat it when they get home from school. Here are some examples of snacks/light meals they could eat before practice; PB&J, granola bar, dry cereal, banana, bagel, trail mix, toast, fruit snack, crackers, pretzels. Try to stay away from dairy before running.
